Chad Neiss II Memorial Scholarship Fund

CHAD NEISS II MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Chad Neiss II ("Bomber") played hockey for the Lancaster Firebirds from 1999 through 2013.  He was a beloved member of the Firebirds hockey community.  While he played hockey with toughness and grit, off the ice he was a caring person who would go out of his way to help anyone.  While he had many great memories over his 14 years playing, his most memorable was scoring the game-winning goal at the 2009 Philadelphia Regional Silver Sticks tournament, sending the team to Port Huron for the finals.

Tragically, Chad lost his battle with the plague of addiction in 2020.  The Chad Neiss II Memorial Scholarship Fund has been set up to honor his memory and to give financial assistance to children in need, so they can play youth hockey for the Firebirds and enjoy the game that Chad loved so much.
