Chad Neiss II ("Bomber") played hockey for the Lancaster Firebirds from 1999 through 2013. He was a beloved member of the Firebirds hockey community. While he played hockey with an edge, toughness and grit, off the ice, he was a caring person who would go out of his way to help anyone. While he had many great memories over his 14 years playing, his most memorable was scoring the game-winning goal at the 2009 Philadelphia Regional Silver Sticks tournament, sending the team to Port Huron for the finals. The Chad Neiss II Memorial Scholarship Fund is set up in his honor to help youth hockey players that need financial assistance afford the awesome game that Bomber loved so much.
