Yesterday, the Governor and Secretary of Health of Pennsylvania announced enhanced COVID-19 mitigation and enforcement measures.  As a result, the Lancaster Ice Rink is now limited to 10% of its occupancy capacity.  Programs will be affected as follows:

  • Firebirds Games/Practices - No spectators
  • RRFSC Freestyle Ice - 40 person limit in building
  • RRFSC Show Practice - No spectators
  • Learn to Skate - No spectators (except with permission for very young children)
  • Learn to Play Hockey - One parent
  • Sunday Afternoon Public Skate - Cancelled
  • All other programs - No change

The Governor's diktat also includes a "robust enforcement plan" consisting of fines and business closures for non-compliance.  While none of us are happy about the new restrictions, we request the cooperation of our patrons in order to keep the rink open.
