FIREBIRDS 10U-AA WON THE CONGRESSIONAL CUP TOURNAMENT HELD IN WASHINGTON, DC OVER PRESIDENTS' DAY WEEKEND.

The Firebirds 10U-AA team won the Congressional Cup Tournament this past weekend with a thrilling 6-0 victory in the final against the Long Island Rebels from New York.  Mason Courville back-stopped Lancaster with shutout goaltending while Lucas Goldyn scoring a hat trick followed by 2 goals from Jackson Milne and a goal from Zaden Latkovich. The team played arguably its most complete game of the year in earning the tournament championship in its final game of the season.

Earlier in the weekend, the Firebirds earned their way into the final with 2 closely fought 3-2 victories over the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes and the Exton Kings. In their final round robin game the Long Island Rebels had beaten them 4-2. After round robin play the Long Island Rebels finished 1st and the Firebirds finished 2nd. After losing to the Long Island Rebels in round robin play the Firebirds came ready to play in the championship game beaten them 6-0 in the championship game.
