AAHA ANNOUNCEMENT ON UPCOMING MARCH TRYOUT PERIODS

March 14, 2020
Over the last week or so, we have seen local schools, universities, amateur and professional
sports and both large and small business take important steps in order to best mitigate the
spread of COVID-19. The President of the United States has declared a National Emergency,
and the Governors for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State of New Jersey and
Delaware have also issued similar declarations.
The efforts to mitigate large gatherings best serves in the overall wellbeing of our players,
coaches, officials, volunteers and their families, therefore, the Atlantic Amateur Hockey
Association is postponing all tryouts for the Youth and Girls levels at 12U, 10U and 8U, for
both Tier I, Tier II and Independent registration levels. Over the next 48 hours, we will work
on establishing new dates for which tryouts and contracting for the aforementioned age
levels can be conducted.
We will continue to monitor State and local government directives and provide updates as
needed. Thank you for your continued support. Stay healthy.
