Leading 3-2 in the third, the 'Birds played airtight defence to preserve the win, limiting the Chiefs to five shots in the period.
Head Coach Andy Scott was pleased with the weekend, "Beyond the results on the scoreboard, the coaching staff was really happy with the compete level displayed by the players in all three games against really good competition. It also gave us a good read on areas where we need to get better. We definitely want to give a big thank you to Brandon Johnson and Mike Tenney of the Connecticut Chiefs for hosting us this weekend. The level of competition their teams provided was an excellent test for our guys."
The 16U-AAs return to pre-season action this coming weekend in the Philly Puck Drop Tournament.
