Central Penn Interscholastic Hockey League

The Lancaseter Ice Rink is a host rink for the Central Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League (CPIHL).  In its 15th year, the CPIHL provides opportunities for middle school and high school students to participate in the sport of ice hockey in an interscholastic setting which encompasses roughly the same boundaries as those of PIAA District III.  There are currently 41 clubs in the league representing 81 teams at the middle school, junior varsity and varsity levels.  The varsity level is comprised of three divisions: tier I and tier II for teams composed of students from a single school district, and tier III for teams composed of more than one school district.  The CPIHL hosts an annual championship tournament for both the tier I and tier II varsity levels.  The league’s tier I varsity teams also participate annually, on an invitational basis, in the Flyers Cup Tournament, the eastern Pennsylvania portion of the state high school hockey championship.
